At STEP-HBTI, students activity cell works throughout the year to organize extracurricular activities for all round development of the students. From the time student enters the premises in the first year till the time he leaves the institute in the final year, the role of student activity cell is to involve the students in various activities in different capacities.These activities offer students opportunities to learn the values of teamwork, take individual and group responsibility, physical strength and endurance, competition, diversity, and a sense of culture and community. Particularly for Management education, extracurricular activities provide a channel for reinforcing the lessons learned in the classroom, offering students the opportunity to apply academic conceptsof management in a real-world context, and are thus considered part of a well-rounded management education.
The various activities that are organized by student activity cell of STEP-HBTI are, Freshers Party, Blood Donation Camps, Hindi Diwas, Green Day, Udbhav, Farewell, Renaissance etc. Annually STEP-HBTI organizes two fests, one is Udbhav, which is a Intra college fest, and the other is Renaissance which is inter college fest where students from various institutes/colleges participate in the different activities held in STEP-HBTI premises. Student activity cell works through its various clubs under it. These are Cultural Club, Literary Club, Sports Club and Eco Club.
The activities under cultural clubaim at honing thestudents skills, bring out the various talents embedded in the students and increase their self confidence. They are able to showcase their skills in various activities and compete to improve their abilityenhancing team-building spirit, instilling a sense of responsibility in nation building by cherishing human values. The activities held under the literary club offers a competing platform for the knowledge-hungry students. It aims to develop self-efficacy and confidence and enhance the general knowledge base of students. It works in tandem to benefit students in the disciplines of writing and speaking by conducting events that are both instructional and enjoyable at the same time sharpening the skills of logical thinking of students.
It develops excellent communication skills and teaches students to think spontaneously.It cultivates a passion for quizzing, Debating, creative writing, literature, Elocution, etc., among the students. Various activities held under this club are:
This is committed to provide a healthy sporting habit among the students. It helps to learn teamwork at work, coordination among diverse cultural & ethnic group and mainly infuses discipline & instill the value system in one individual. This club works towards creating environmental awareness at the very grass root level. It consistently works to equip the younger generation to deal with environmental concerns through more effective environmental education and practicing them. The eco-club spreads knowledge about the environment and promotes a holistic approach towards living with the natural world, in order to minimize the environmental problems faced by the human race today. It understands the central role of youth in saving the environment and encourages the students towards adopting eco-friendly practices, recycling different materials and saving the resources such as water, electricity etc. The activities under this club are:
