An extensive academic curriculum is a pre-dominant requirement indispensable for any management institute. But what makes it stand out in the crowd is the effort, the approach that it undertakes to groom its students to become scholars .
The STEP campus has witnessed a host of activities, which are prima facie, fun filled but aim at bringing out the best in each one. The students of STEP keep themselves involved in various Literary and Cultural activities and forums taking this tradition further, STEP-HBTI launched UDBHAV in 2011. It is an annual in house, 3 day event having a plethora of academic cultural and sports activities.
PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT (Office Incharge: Mrs. Suchita Shukla)
Personality Development Council provides intensive training in Business Communication Skills and Personality Development throughout the duration of the course for all the students. With frequent Group Discussions, Seminars, Quizzes, Extempore, Role Plays, Action Research, Case Studies & Industrial Visits. Students receive regular inputs in personality development to help them, to interact with confidence and poise.
SPORTS ACTIVITIES (Convener: Mr. Yogesh Puri)
To uncover the super heroes in the field of sports, a Sports Council has been established. A wide range of sporting facilities are available on campus. Participating in tournaments organized by various B-schools is a regular spree. The sports council has always brought laurels. We play to win and like it that way!
LITERARY ACTIVITIES (Convener: Mrs.Smita Dron)
Literary council develop the budding managers by developing intellectual efficiency in global environment .Marketing professionals work in a variety of organizations in the private and public sector. It is possible to work at many different levels within the organization from marketing assistants all the way up to being the marketing. Events in Literary activity are Business Quizes, Ad-mad shows (opportunity for all the imaginers' to give wings to their imaginations), Extempore, marketing research, e-marketing, environmental marketing, and public relations.etc.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES (Convene: Ms. Richa Mishra)
Cultural Council Recognizing the need for developing managers with all-round development, the Institute has a wide array of cultural activities. Events are held round the year and evoke keen participation. These events provide stimulating avenues for new vistas. Cultural events are organized keeping in mind the twin objective of developing the organizing skills of the future managers and also to give them a platform to showcase their diverse talents. Intra college activities like Antakshari, Nukkad Natak, Skit, Rangoli competitions, Singing & Dancing competitions etc. are regularly held for developing skills in the young minds.
ALUMNI FORUM (Convenor: Mr. Yogesh Puri)
STEP-HBTI intends to strengthen the bond with its alumnus, who are well recognized world wide, to accomplish this aim an alumni forum is strongly active in the institute. It conducts various activities for reunions, interactions & facilitation.
SOCIAL RESEARCH PROJECT (Convener: Dr. Prabhat Dwivedi, Member: Mrs. Priyanka Gupta)
As large segment of our society is still suffering from society's neglect, unawareness and health problems. For such a noble cause, a project with a vision of prosperous India “NAVCHETNA” is conceived. The project is a nonprofit voluntary social activity, comprised of specialists, health professionals, faculty, social workers and aspiring managers (students of STEP-HBTI), Kanpur, committed to recharge and stimulate the society at large. So far the study is being conducted at Kakoopur and Baikunthpur village and adjoining areas of Kanpur Dehat, in Kanpur District. In this direction the Institute is rigorously engaged in -
- Improving and generating awareness regarding health care & sanitation through awareness drives and medical camps etc.
- Empowering women through organizing training programmes , arranging and motivating them for modular courses .
- Conducting employment programmes for youth and natives of the village and making them aware of various schemes of Government and NGO.
- Promoting literacy and education campaign through courses, study material, vocational courses, and motivating people for the said caused.
- Improving socio- economic issues through awareness drives for the utility of financial instrument, special financial facilities, entrepreneurship development and promoting various employment training programmes like computer training and other vocational training modules /courses.
